Horse Academy

Horse Academy:  9:30-11:30 AM, Saturdays

Ages 7-14, limited to 4 students:  $225 (*includes one make-up day for any students who miss one or more sessions*)

Currently creating an interest list for the next session–email (elmriding@yahoo.com) or call (925) 285-8817  to reserve your spot!

Spend two hours each week with horses!  Your child will gain confidence and learn a solid foundation of basic skills while spending time grooming, leading, practicing Natural Horsemanship-style ground work, and riding my school horses.

The Horse Academy is designed to introduce students to horses through a safe progression of skills and knowledge. In addition to hands-on time with the horses, we’ll learn about a variety of horse related topics: horse colors, anatomy, and breeds; common equipment and parts; feeding and care.

Riding instruction is taught English style. Horse Academy is best suited for beginning students who have never interacted with horses and students who have ridden some but would like to refresh their basic skills. I provide all special equipment for the class, including helmets, but students are required to wear pants and closed-toe shoes with a low heel.

We’ll meet rain or shine–there’s always plenty to learn!
